About the job

I’m preparing to mount a commercial-scale solar array on our facility in Strafford, Missouri and need a licensed structural engineer to confirm the roof can safely take the additional weight. The structure is a steel-framed roof and I already have complete, up-to-date structural plans in PDF and CAD. Your primary task is a roof load analysis that satisfies local code and utility interconnection requirements. To keep the project moving with the solar installer, I’m looking for: • Stamped calculations and a concise report demonstrating the roof’s capacity with the proposed PV dead load, live loads, and any ballast or attachment details. • Mark-ups or supplemental drawings if the building department requests them. • Quick turn-around for minor revisions should the permitting office ask for clarifications. Please outline your experience with steel roofs on commercial buildings, relevant software you use (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA, or similar), and your availability to begin right away. A Missouri PE stamp is preferred; if you are registered in another state, let me know your reciprocity options. I’ll provide the existing plans, panel layout, and mounting system specs as soon as we agree to proceed.
