About the job

I need a qualified shooting-incident analyst to reconstruct an accidental firearm discharge that is now the focus of a legal case. I will supply you with all available witness statements and the existing forensic reports; there is no video footage. Your task is to interpret that material, recreate the chain of events as accurately as possible, and prepare findings that can withstand courtroom scrutiny. The work calls for clearly illustrated trajectory diagrams, a narrative expert report that references the physical evidence, and, if you feel it strengthens the conclusions, a scale digital or physical model of the scene. The final package must explain the most plausible muzzle position, shooter orientation, and sequence of shots, and must do so in language that both attorneys and a jury can follow. I expect properly cited scientific methodology along with a concise summary suitable for direct testimony.
