Berlin Residential Wall Light Consultation

I need an experienced lighting product designer who is physically based in Berlin for an in-person consultation about a new line of residential wall lights. The goal of our meeting is to explore practical and aesthetic directions, assess technical feasibility, and map out the early stages of product development. I will bring reference images, a tentative budget, and a list of performance requirements; you will bring your expertise in form-giving, materials, LED integration, and manufacturability. Key discussion points • Intended environment: residential interiors (apartments and small homes) • Fixture type: dedicated wall lights (hard-wired) • Style: still open—I’m happy to hear your take on modern, vintage, minimalist, or a hybrid approach • Constraints: EU safety standards, ease of installation, sustainable materials where possible By the end of the session I’d like to walk away with: 1. Rough concept sketches or CAD thumbnails illustrating 2-3 viable design directions 2. Preliminary material and technology recommendations (light source, driver, diffuser, mounting system) 3. A short follow-up memo summarising next steps, estimated timelines, and any tooling or prototyping considerations We can meet at my studio in Kreuzberg or at your workspace—whatever suits your workflow best. If all goes well, this consultation could grow into a full design engagement covering 3D modelling, photometric simulation (DIALux or similar), and production documentation.
