About the job

I'm putting together a travel-focused documentary that explores culture and social issues, but I don’t have the usual B-roll. Instead, I want key moments recreated through 3D animation—full scenes that bring past events and locations to life when real footage isn’t available. You’ll take the material I supply (voice-over, primary interviews, and any reference photos) and shape it into a coherent, engaging film. That means structuring the narrative, pacing it with documentary-style rhythm, adding titles and lower thirds, balancing audio, colour-grading, and compositing the 3D sequences so they feel seamless next to the live-action segments. For the 3D work, I’m picturing realistic environments that match the era and setting we discuss, but I’m open to your creative approach as long as it clearly tells the story. Blender, Cinema 4D, or similar tools are fine—use what you’re fastest with. Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve for the edit and After Effects for any motion graphics would keep the workflow smooth, but again, I’ll follow your lead if you have a more efficient pipeline. Deliverables • A rough cut for early feedback • A final 1080p (preferably 4K) master with integrated 3D reconstructions and polished sound mix • Separate 3D renders or project files in case I need tweaks later I’m available for quick turnarounds on notes, and I value clear communication throughout. Let me know your experience with documentary pacing and any samples where you blended live action with 3D storytelling.
