I’m putting together a comprehensive cost plan for a new commercial-building project and need a clear, apples-to-apples quotation package covering all interior and exterior construction materials. Your job is to contact reputable suppliers, collect up-to-date prices, and compile the information into an easy-to-compare spreadsheet or PDF that I can forward straight to management. Scope of work • Identify reliable vendors that stock the full range of commercial-grade materials we’ll need (lumber, steel, concrete, finishes, hardware, insulation—anything required to enclose and fit out the building). • Request written quotes that specify unit price, bulk discounts, delivery fees, payment terms, and availability. • Flag any value-engineering alternatives a supplier proposes so I can see potential savings without sacrificing quality or code compliance. • Organise the data by material category—clearly separating interior from exterior needs—so I can pick and choose quickly. Deliverable A single, well-formatted file (Excel or Google Sheet preferred) containing: supplier name and contact, item description, spec grade, unit of measure, quantity break pricing, lead time, delivery conditions, and notes on warranties or substitutions. Acceptance criteria 1. At least three comparable quotes per material line. 2. All figures verified within seven days of submission. 3. File free of formula errors and ready for print.
