I am looking for an experienced PCB Design / Hardware Engineer to complete the PCB Layout and Routing from scratch for a custom, high-density drone flight controller board (AMADEO H743). I already have the complete schematic capture and verified footprints / component libraries ready. The goal of this project is to take the schematic and design a clean, reliable, multi-layer PCB layout ready for fabrication and assembly. Board Specifications & Layout Challenges: Main Controller: STM32H743VIT6. Power Management: Wide-range power delivery from 3S–8S LiPo batteries (~11V to 34V input). Incorporates high-efficiency switching buck regulators (5V/10V rails) and low-noise LDOs (3.3V) for sensors. Sensors & Peripherals: Low-noise IMU (ICM-42688-P), BMP390 barometer, AT7456E analog OSD chip, USB-C, MicroSD slot, camera connector, GNSS, and telemetry ports. Bus Interfaces: SPI, UART, I2C, and CAN bus routing. Scope of Work & Deliverables: Board Outline & Stackup Definition: Define stackup (4 or 6 layers depending on routing density and ground plane requirements) and mechanical board dimensions/mounting holes. Component Placement & Routing: Strict ground plane separation (isolating noisy high-voltage switching power lines from sensitive IMU analog signals and high-speed SPI/MCU tracks). Thermal management and copper pours for power components. Design Rule Checks (DRC) & DFM Review: Ensure the layout complies with standard PCB manufacturer constraints (JLCPCB/PCBWay or similar). Manufacturing Package: Full Gerber files, Drill files, Pick & Place (CPL), and assembly drawings. 3D STEP model of the populated board for MCAD integration (Siemens NX). Required Skills: Proven experience with high-density multi-layer PCB layout (Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar ECAD). Expertise in RF/High-speed signal integrity, mixed-signal layout, and noise mitigation for IMU/sensor boards. Solid background in switching power supply (DC-DC buck regulator) layout best practices. When applying, please share examples or portfolio renders of high-density or flight-controller-style PCBs you have laid out.
