Excel Financial Budget Data Entry

I need all of my current figures ­– income and expenses, individual departmental budgets, and several project-level budgets – transferred into a single, well-organised Excel workbook. The source data is already collected; what’s missing is a clean, accurate entry and a structure that makes analysis easy. I’m undecided on the exact template, so I’d like you to weigh in. If an existing industry-standard layout suits the data, great; if a custom sheet with dynamic formulas, drop-downs and clear categorisation would work better, let’s build that instead. Either way, totals must reconcile, categories need to be intuitive, and the file should be ready for monthly updates without breaking any links or formulas.
