I’m preparing a commercial space for a new tenant and need a full set of interior layout drawings that will satisfy my city’s permit office. Because I don’t have any existing floor plans, you’ll be starting from scratch—capturing measurements, translating them into an accurate base plan, and then developing a compliant interior layout design. Here’s what I expect to walk away with: • Dimensioned floor plan showing walls, doors, windows, and fixed furnishings • Code summary sheet with occupancy, egress, and fire-safety notes appropriate to a commercial use • Reflected ceiling plan with lighting locations and symbols keyed to a legend • Basic MEP coordination notes and call-outs so my engineers can layer in their designs without altering your sheet set • Detail sheets for partitions, doors, and any millwork that the inspector will want to see • PDF set ready for electronic submission plus the native CAD file (AutoCAD or Revit—whichever you use) Acceptance criteria 1. Drawings must reference the latest local building code and clearly list it on the cover sheet. 2. All dimensions in feet/inches and to a scale that prints legibly on 24" x 36". 3. Sheet index complete; no “TBD” placeholders. 4. My city reviewer confirms that the submittal is complete on first pass—minor redlines are expected, but missing documents are not.
