Descriptive Sales Data Analysis

I have a sizeable set of sales records that needs clear, insightful descriptive analysis. All raw information lives in a relational database, so the work starts with writing efficient SQL to extract, clean, and aggregate the data. From there I want to understand overall performance patterns—totals, averages, trends by product, region, and time period—and see them presented in an easy-to-read format. You are free to use any modern analysis stack (SQL plus Excel, Python, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) as long as the final output can be shared and reproduced easily on my end. Accuracy matters more than flash, though a few well-chosen charts will help me share the findings with leadership. I would like everything wrapped up within a month. To keep us aligned, here is what I expect at hand-off: • Cleaned, well-documented SQL scripts • A concise summary report highlighting key metrics and observations • Visuals (dashboard or static charts) that clearly illustrate the numbers I’m happy to answer follow-up questions quickly so you can move ahead without delays.
