Social Media Content Creator – Freelance/Third-Party Contractor L J 7 Advertising, a 360° digital marketing collective based in South Africa, is looking to appoint reliable third-party social media content creators to assist with ongoing content production for a diverse portfolio of clients. Scope of Work L J 7 Advertising will supply the selected creator with: • Original photographs and video footage • Client-specific brand guidelines • Content themes and strategic direction • Product information, key selling points and target audiences • Required calls to action and publishing deadlines The creator will be responsible for transforming these assets into professional, platform-ready social media content. Key Deliverables • Static social media posts • Carousel posts • Vertical short-form videos and Reels • Captions, hooks and calls to action • Content formatted for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube • Editable source files for all approved content Required formats may include: • 9:16 for Reels and Stories • 1:1 for static social media posts • 16:9 for longer-form video content Required Skills and Applications Applicants should be proficient in: • CapCut for Reel and short-form video production • Canva for social media design and layout • Adobe Photoshop for professional static-content creation and image enhancement • Adobe Audition Sound EQ. • ChatGPT or similar AI tools for copy development, research and workflow optimisation Applicants must demonstrate: • Strong visual and video-editing skills • Good English copywriting and proofreading abilities • An understanding of branding, target audiences, USPs and sales-driven content • The ability to follow client-specific brand identities accurately • Reliable communication and consistent turnaround times • The ability to manage multiple brands without mixing their identities or messaging • Careful attention to factual accuracy, spelling and detail Workflow and Confidentiality The successful creator will operate as an extension of L J 7 Advertising’s production team. All strategic direction, client communication and final approvals will remain under the control of L J 7 Advertising. Creators must: • Follow the prescribed folder, file-naming and approval processes • Preserve all original supplied assets • Submit content for approval before scheduling or publishing • Not contact clients directly unless authorised • Keep all client information, footage, templates and marketing material confidential • Provide editable project and source files • Accept that final approved content remains the property of L J 7 Advertising or its clients Client Portfolio Content may be produced for clients operating in industries such as automotive, agriculture, irrigation, outdoor adventure, retail, manufacturing, recycling, footwear, community development and faith-based organisations. Selection Process Shortlisted candidates may be invited to complete a paid trial consisting of: • One static social media post • One vertical Reel • One caption • One alternative hook • One call to action Candidates will be evaluated according to: • Strategic and sales-driven thinking • Visual and editing quality • Brand accuracy • Copywriting ability • Turnaround time and communication • Pricing and capacity to scale The preferred candidate may initially be appointed for a four-week paid trial, with the potential for an ongoing working relationship based on quality, reliability, capacity and cost per approved item.
