Python AI CRM Automation MVP — API Integration & AI Workflow I am building an AI-powered CRM automation system for a business and are looking for a strong Python developer to help develop the initial technical MVP. The system will connect a CRM/API with a Python backend and an AI layer to automate selected customer and lead-management workflows. This is intended to become a longer-term project, but we want to begin with a focused technical milestone before expanding the scope. The proper developer will help with: * Python backend development * CRM API integration * REST API development * Database design and queries * CRM data retrieval and updating * AI/LLM API integration * Structured data processing * Automation workflow implementation * Error handling and logging * Basic automated tests * Technical documentation Example Workflow A simplified workflow may look like: 1. A new lead enters the CRM. 2. The backend retrieves the lead information. 3. The AI analyzes and categorizes the lead. 4. The system generates a recommended next action. 5. The backend validates the action. 6. The appropriate CRM record/task is updated. 7. The result is logged for later review. The AI should operate through controlled backend functions rather than having unrestricted access to the CRM. Preferred Technical Stack Python is the primary language. Experience with some of the following is preferred: * FastAPI * Django * REST APIs * SQL * PostgreSQL/MySQL/MSSQL * Pandas * pytest * LLM APIs * Git We are open to discussing the exact architecture with the selected developer. First Milestone The first milestone will be intentionally limited. Expected deliverables: 1. Python project structure 2. CRM API client 3. Authentication/configuration setup 4. Database schema 5. Basic API endpoints 6. One working AI-powered workflow 7. Error handling and logging 8. Basic automated tests 9. Setup documentation What We Are Looking For We are more interested in technical reasoning and reliable implementation than simply finding the lowest bid. The developer should be able to: * Understand an existing API * Design a practical backend architecture * Work with structured business data * Explain technical decisions * Write maintainable Python code * Test integrations * Identify edge cases * Communicate blockers clearly Long-Term Opportunity If the initial milestone is successful, the project may expand into: * Additional CRM workflows * Multiple AI agents/tools * Automated lead qualification * Customer follow-up automation * CRM synchronization * Reporting dashboards * Additional API integrations * Production deployment * Ongoing maintenance We are looking for someone who could potentially continue with the project rather than completing only a one-off task.
