Real-Time Sensor Data Integration

I already host a public website; now I need a way to stream sensor readings from our laboratory instruments straight to it over HTTP in real time. The instruments export the data as CSV strings, so the workflow I’m envisioning is: • An HTTP endpoint on my server that accepts incoming CSV payloads, validates them, and converts each record to a clean data structure. • Immediate persistence of the readings in a database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or another engine you recommend) with timestamps and instrument IDs. • A lightweight display layer—either an auto-refresh chart or a simple table—so visitors can watch the values update live without a page reload. • Error handling for malformed CSV, retry logic if the connection drops, and concise documentation that lets me add new instruments later without touching code. If your stack preference is PHP/Laravel, Node.js/Express, or Python/Flask, state it; I’m flexible as long as the endpoint remains REST-style and the client-side update is smooth (WebSockets or AJAX polling both acceptable). Acceptance criteria: 1. Posting a sample CSV row through curl immediately appears on the site in under 2 s. 2. Database shows correctly parsed fields with no data loss. 3. Clear README for future instrument integration. Please outline the tools you’ll use, the estimated setup time, and any hosting prerequisites you might need from my side.
