ROLE OVERVIEW The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for creating exceptional fan experiences on the sales floor by greeting customers, making personalized product recommendations, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and store presentation. This role serves as a direct brand ambassador, ensuring every fan interaction reflects the values of Fanatics and its Team and League affiliates. The Retail Sales Associate delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights. Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans) • Greet fans warmly and ask thoughtful questions to understand their needs and make their shopping experience enjoyable and memorable. • Provide personalized product recommendations based on observations and conversations with fans, driving both satisfaction and sales. • Ensure fans enjoy a seamless shopping experience that authentically reflects the Fanatics brand and its Team and League partners. • Maintain the highest standards of customer service so that the Fanatics brand and its Team and League affiliates are always positively represented. Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit) • Build and continuously develop deep product knowledge of Team and League inventory to better serve fans with informed, confident recommendations. • Identify opportunities to improve the fan experience on the sales floor and proactively communicate suggestions to the management team. • Demonstrate adaptability and a problem-solving mindset when navigating fast-paced, high-volume environments such as game days and special events. Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset) • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the Fanatics Point of Sale System (POS), maintaining accountability for each fan interaction. • Uphold rigorous standards for sales floor and stockroom organization, cleanliness, and visual presentation with close attention to detail. • Perform housekeeping and general store maintenance duties consistently, ensuring the environment meets Fanatics brand standards at all times. • Work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a positive attitude while overcoming obstacles as they arise. CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING • Prior experience in retail or sales is preferred, with demonstrated ability to engage customers and drive positive outcomes on the sales floor. • Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and service. • Availability to work extended hours on game days and during special events as required. • Proven ability to build strong product knowledge of Team and League inventory and translate that knowledge into meaningful fan recommendations. • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse fan base in a welcoming, professional manner. • Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, and attention to detail across the sales floor and stockroom.
