【Tokyo】 Freelance IT Technician Needed for VR System Installation & Network Setup (Short-Term Project – Approximately One Week) **Parallel World Co., Ltd.** is preparing to open a new Free-Roam Virtual Reality (VR) entertainment facility in Tokyo. Our facility will offer an immersive experience where visitors can move freely within a virtual environment and explore interactive stories. The VR system we will be using has been developed by an overseas company and will be operated under a licensing agreement. As part of our preparations for the opening, we are looking for a freelance IT technician with strong hardware and networking skills to handle the installation of VR equipment and the configuration of the network infrastructure. Main Responsibilities - Install and connect VR equipment and associated hardware. - Configure computers and network devices. - Perform the initial setup and configuration of the VR system. - Test equipment functionality and troubleshoot any technical issues. The overseas VR system developer will provide the necessary installation procedures and technical instructions. The main responsibility will be to follow the developer's instructions and procedures to ensure that all equipment is properly installed and configured. Project Details - Location: Tokyo, Japan (on-site work required). - Period: around one week during January or February 2027. - Duration: Approximately one week. - Contract Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor. - Compensation: Negotiable depending on experience and scope of work. Required Skills & Qualifications - Hardware: Strong knowledge of computer hardware, including installation, connection, and configuration of IT equipment. - Networking: Practical knowledge and experience in configuring LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and network infrastructure. - Professional experience in installing and setting up IT equipment. - Ability to understand and accurately follow technical instructions and manuals. - English proficiency required: Ability to communicate in English with the overseas developer and understand technical documentation and installation procedures written in English. Hardware and networking expertise, as well as the ability to communicate in English, are mandatory requirements for this position.
